It was soon followed by a recaptured Northern Cardinal.
Our next recap was a Wintering Hermit Thrush.
Our newest volunteer, Saúl, has been able to begin releasing the processed birds such as our Hermit Thrush.
We also banded two new birds today. The first was a very beautiful Eastern Palm Warbler which was much brighter than the earlier, not pictured, Western Palm that was a recap.
Winding up the day, we got another Orange-crowned Warbler. This time it was a female. Though very drab as it hunts through the foliage, always look for a bit of an eyebrow and that very pointy bill.
Weather will be a bit chilly next Sunday, again, but a little warmer than last Sunday. Bundle up once more!

NOTE: To ensure the safety of our volunteers and the general public, new visitors are discouraged from attending banding at this time. The few of us who remain will update the blog as long as we can and hope to see new faces in the future. Thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time.
